Pre-Diagnosis

Hi, I am new to the forum, I just wondered if anyone can advise on anxiety levels and tips on how to overcome them, I had covid 3 months ago and have had a cough ever since, I started to cough up some blood a couple of days ago and informed my Dr who has been trying everything to help me get over my cough, I have had 4 lots of antibiotics in 3 months, he has now referred me for an urgent CT scan for suspected lung cancer, am terrified and have of course been googling, any advice on how to cope with the anxiety, my CT scan is tomorrow morning, I had a clear x-ray a month ago but the cough has not improved!

  • Hi Blossom,

I totally agree with Mario. We usually advise people to stay away from Google, at this stage. Most of the information is aimed at the more spectacular cases, won't apply to you, won't give you any answers and will only serve to scare you further. The best of luck for tomorrow.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,
