Hi, My Dad had a colonoscopy at the weekend which showed 3 polyps. 2 were removed and the 3rd was 50mm and they attempted to remove but it started to bleed so left it. We were told the polyps look benign but there would be a meeting about the 3rd to see what to do. Since then he has been contacted by the hospital and now has a CT and MRI booked for this weekend. When I have asked why I am told the consultant has requested. We have not been told it is cancer and I am worried sick as is my Dad. Would they have to say they suspect cancer and this is why they are doing further tests or is it likely they are doing further tests to see what to do with the remaining polyp. We were told we would not receive results until after Christmas from the biopsy. We left the colonoscopy appointment relieved but now this is all happening.
