Had colonoscopy today, worried about results

I had my colonoscopy today (it was so painful I had extra fentanyl plus gas and air) they said nothing found or biopsied, however it was only on the drive home that I looked at the letter and it says "thank you for attending your procedure today. There were first degree haemorrhoids (which bleed only) in the anal canal. A copy of today's report will be sent to your GP and your consultant. Your clinician referred you on a 2 week wait suspected cancer pathway. Following your investigation today, further investigations are required as lower GI cancer was not excluded. Therefore you will remain on the cancer pathway'

I had sedation so I'm only just now getting bit worried about that, as I don't know what it means. Discharge was done verbally and so I didn't get to ask questions about that part of the letter.

I will call either GP or endoscopy tomorrow to ask but anyone know why it says that, is it a mistake?
