Is this possible?

The GP said they could feel 'a large mass, feels like a fibroid' on my uterus, but at the scan the sonographer could find no evidence of any mass at all, anywhere! 

The only thing she found was scarring on my ovaries.

I don't know what to think?

Where did the mass the GP felt go?

I didn't think it was possible for ultrasound to miss large fibroids?
