Lumpectomy

Hi.  2 months ago I noticed a dent in my left breast.  Went to doctors 21st Aug and was given 2 week urgent referral.  Attended breast clinic on 5th sept and had scans and biopsy on the lump.  Doctor advised that it is a 2cm lump and that I will be going for surgery.   Have appointment on 19th to go through biopsy results and that will confirm if I require further treatment.    Does anyone know how long after biospy results that you go for surgery?

thanks

  • Hi Jacksonjet,

I'm sorry to hear that you are still feeling sickly, but not all that surprised. It takes some time to recover, both mentally and physically from such surgery. I waited until after I got my post-surgical pathology results back, which was nearly 2 weeks. I was self-employed at the time and was fortunate in that I could gradually build up the number of patients I saw in a day, whilst my associates took up the slack. This is too soon to be considering going back full time. Make yourself the priority for a change.

    Kind regards,
