Living in a waiting world

Do you ever feel as if you are living in a different world from other people? - in a waiting world? You try to get on with ordinary, normal everyday things, but the unknown is hanging over you and really in a way you are just sort of existing in this waiting world?

it takes over but anyone looking in wouldn’t know. I hate the mornings the most when you wake up and forget for those first few seconds then the dread sets in and your heart sinks! I’ll have been waiting 3 weeks next Thursday when I go for my urgent 2 week referral to the breast clinic.

  • I know exactly what you mean about when you wake. Every morning there are a couple of seconds of normality, then the thoughts hit me of what may or may not be ahead. My 2 week referral is tomorrow morning, and I’m in the lucky position of only having waited a week. Obviously I’m dreading it, but am glad that things will be moving forward in some way, for better or for worse.
