Hey Sunflowergirl123 I’m in the same situation as you, going for my ultrasound scan tomorrow. Very scared, mine could be cervical or womb. Have had the blood test results for ovarian and all clear although doctor is phoning me in a few days to discuss those results. Just wanted to let you know you aren’t alone and show you some love from afar at this difficult time.

I’m so sorry to hear this, my situation is still very much the same. The last doctor I spoke to is convinced my symptoms are thyroid related although they aren’t sure still so  waiting for an endocrine team to say if I need an ultrasound or further investigations. Not getting very far but managing the worry in my head more now. I  hopeful for good news for you, keep me updated. Sending love and strength xxx

I had a text today for an oncology appointment!!! It said it was a reminder, but I haven't actually been given it in the first place so guessing a letter will follow. Obviously am stressing out a bit but trying not to get too ahead of myself until I know what's what.

Hi, 

I'm doing ok thank you. At the moment I'm waiting for a date for surgery to remove the ovarian cyst. They also found that I have a thickened womb lining and possibly a polyp so at the same time they are going to do a hysteroscopy to investigate that. Hopefully that will be in the next couple of weeks.

I had my cyst removed back in November and recovered well from that. Unfortunately it was found to be a rare type of ovarian cancer called granulosa cell cancer, they think stage 1C. 

Currently back and forth with appointments for more surgery as a result!

I have decided to have full staging surgery, which involves total hysterectomy, removal of the omentum, lymph node sampling etc via laparotomy. A big decision for me at 32 but will hopefully give me the best chance of being cancer-free.

How are you? I’m so sorry I am only just replying, such a big decision for you and yet here you are still wondering how I am. That means a lot. So this end I’m dealing with Overactive thyroid which is my second pituitary condition now (probably why how I was feeling was so horrendous and the symptoms very much mirrored cancer for me… It’s a struggle at times - people wouldn’t realise how bad the symptoms have been and how much this latest diagnosis has actually affected my body and my mind. I’m still very grateful for you and the chats that helped me as this was unfolding, hope it’s the same for you. I hope you have support and I wish you nothing but happiness and health going forward.
