Hi, 

I'm doing ok thank you. At the moment I'm waiting for a date for surgery to remove the ovarian cyst. They also found that I have a thickened womb lining and possibly a polyp so at the same time they are going to do a hysteroscopy to investigate that. Hopefully that will be in the next couple of weeks.

I had my cyst removed back in November and recovered well from that. Unfortunately it was found to be a rare type of ovarian cancer called granulosa cell cancer, they think stage 1C. 

Currently back and forth with appointments for more surgery as a result!

I have decided to have full staging surgery, which involves total hysterectomy, removal of the omentum, lymph node sampling etc via laparotomy. A big decision for me at 32 but will hopefully give me the best chance of being cancer-free.

How are you? I’m so sorry I am only just replying, such a big decision for you and yet here you are still wondering how I am. That means a lot. So this end I’m dealing with Overactive thyroid which is my second pituitary condition now (probably why how I was feeling was so horrendous and the symptoms very much mirrored cancer for me… It’s a struggle at times - people wouldn’t realise how bad the symptoms have been and how much this latest diagnosis has actually affected my body and my mind. I’m still very grateful for you and the chats that helped me as this was unfolding, hope it’s the same for you. I hope you have support and I wish you nothing but happiness and health going forward.
