Hi, I'm new here.
I had lots of different symptoms since October last year including nausea, weight loss, loss of appetite etc. Just felt dreadful most days.
I was sent for gastroscopy and CT (neck to groin) which only showed a small Hiatal hernia.
My nausea has improved but I continue to lose weight even though I am eating more now.
Anyway, I decided to check my breast the other day as I have really done it before and I should have.
I've been having some new pain before periods which prompted me.
I thought I felt a lump and saw that I have a very visable odd looking vein run through it.
I'm 42 so nearing menopause I guess as well.
I felt a bit stupid going to go after all the tests I've had but thought I'd better check it.
Dr asked me where I thought I felt it and agreed she could feel something maybe. Reassured me that it was probably nothing to worry about but sending me off to the breast clinic urgent referral (again!) to be sure.
Question is, wouldn't the CT a couple of months ago have picked this up?
They weren't specifically looking at my breasts more to check internal organs (liver, lungs, bowel etc).
I did mention to her I'd recently had CT scan but she didn't really comment.
As an aside, my aunty was diagnosed a few months ago and is having treatment. This probably prompted me as well to check.
TIA
