Keep me updated? It's nice to have someone to talk to whilst waiting I think. 
I know I should feel reassured. And to a degree I do. But my mum had breast cancer a couple of years ago, her mother had it and her mother had it. As a result they will provide yearly mammograms to me from aged 40. I'll keep positive and chase the ultrasound department tomorrow! x 

I will do - and thanks for asking. It is nice to have someone to talk to. This forum has been so much better than endless searches on Google (which is where I started off). You too - keep me updated on your next appointment. 

It's reassuring that they will provide yearly mammograms for you especially with your family history - hopefully this will also give you peace of mind too.

Hello, thanks so much for checking in. Very lucky and relieved - it was a large deep cyst that I had aspirated. It filled up two syringes! 
I also have lots of little cysts in the other breast but they took through imaging to compare if I do go back in the future. So feeling relieved and thankful.

That's great news - I'm so happy for you! ️ And great that they have good images in case you have to go back to look at cysts in the future.

Hi Chelbel I still have some but the main one felt large, hard and sore. How are you doing?

Oh Lauriex I am in such an awful bad place today. My lump isn’t sore. Not a good sign apparently. It’s firm but moveable feels round (I think). Long story short there was a mix up with my appointment but consultant agreed to see me. He felt the lump, and saw I had a rash on my boob (gone now) and told me I needed a mamogram urgent. I don’t know if this was because of the rash or lump although he agreed the lump was moveable. Was yours moveable? I’m so depressed today.

I’m so sorry to hear this- is there anyone you can talk to / offload to about how you’re feeling?. My mum had breast cancer 4 years ago and is fine now!

Thank you for answering Lauriex have mamogram and ultrasound on Monday. He slotted me in (there wasn’t really any more appointments) but as I say I’m not sure if it was because he was more worried about the rash. I hope so and it’s a red herring. Would a rash be more worrying??? I haven’t told my children and my partner knows but is largely ignoring it. 

Ok, how can you keep yourself calm enough until Monday? Do you have nice weekend plans? 

It’s hard not to speculate etc but try and remember that even if it IS the worst case, things are so so treatable.  Partners can be tricky… is there anyone else you could talk to? Keeping it to yourself must be making your stress levels higher? x

 Lauriex I have a friend who I’ve been texting but I’m not sure it’s helping. I’m just in this zone. The thought of more waiting terrifies me nearly as much. I know there is nothing I can do about it. I keep comparing my symptoms to others 

Anxiety is such a normal response. Try and be really really kind to yourself over the coming days.

Hello Lauriex Today was a good day. I had my appointment this afternoon and it was a golf ball size cyst. The relief is immense and I cried!! I truly understand your sick feeling, as my appt wasn’t until 3 I was beside myself this morning. Thankfully it is all good. I will put a bigger post on my chat but please let me know how you get on.
