Hi
Really need support as im going out if my mind.
I felt a lump in my lower right breast 2 weeks ago. Painless but skin was slightly red. saw GP and referred for 2ww. Since then the lump has grown and seemed to appear as a longish sausage going towards the nipple area and the skin to the lower outer side has retracted infact it looks as if a quarter of my breast is missing. Severe redness to skin and continued swelling. I again visited my GP who thought breast abcess and prescribed Clarithromycin 500mg twice daily which is somewhat working on reducing redness to skin. I attended for the breast appointment and consultant appeared concerned especially with the severe dimpling. Mammogram and ultrasound performed followed by aspiration as thought may be abcess but could only drain a very small amount of very thick fluid. He did try to flush with 10mls water however did not work. Saw consultant again and he was extremely sketchy. Didn't really give me any kind of reassurance nor did he say it looks like cancer. He advised they would send the sample taken and discuss in an MDT meeting prior to meeting with me again on Friday. Since my appointment the dimpling has remained and not reduced however the sausage shaped lump is now kind of half a sausage but is very hard. no pain now and slightly red (however unsure if this is because I keep prodding it to see if it has reduced).
I'm sick with worry and hope the above makes sense.
