Hi my breast clinic appointment was made by my dr in the surgery and so l had it immediately. L have had them booked by me via the internet. In the past but as they haven't given you the code required l expect you will have a call. The post is awful at the moment taking ages.

Hi Missamerica,

I was initially referred by my GP and got the appointment through the post within 2 weeks. Some people have got theirs sooner by phone. There is a lot of pressure on these clinics and they like to fill up any cancellations if at all posible.

Throughout the past few years, there have been delays in some parts of the country due to Covid and the holiday could well delay things a little longer. Here's hoping that your area is running to schedule and your appointment comes through soon.

You may not get a diagnosis at your first appointment. This is when some scans and a possible biopsy are taken and we then wait a further 1-2 weeks to get the results of these back. I sincerely hope that nothing untoward is found.
