31F, Lumps on neck, itching skin 2 week wait

Hi im just posting because I thought it might help me worry less hearing other people's outcomes. A few months ago I noticed these lumps on the side of my neck, just above my collarbone, one the size of a grape and the other slightly smaller, around the same time as noticing the lumps I started with this god awful itch, the itch is the worst thing, it's all over my body and there is no rash or anything but im breaking my skin scratching all the time so it's sore. Along with this I've been waking up completely drenched in sweat where my bedding needs changing, even my hair soaking wet. I've lost about stone in weight over the last few months but I've changed nothing in my diet or lifestyle to merit a stone weight loss. Occasionally when I drink alcohol it really hurts in my shoulder and armpit like an ache or dead arm feeling and I just feel generally exhausted but I'm not Ill (if that makes sense) I finally got to see a dr and told them all this and they've done me a 2WW urgent referral for ultrasound/biopsy, wants to rule out anything sinister with my lymph nodes being so enlarged. I've had a chest X-ray also which I'm awaiting the results for and awaiting blood tests also. 2WW Appointment at ENT on 28th December, im very anxious and driving myself insane with worry (a lot of cancers in my family history) will I be told anything at the ENT appointment? Will I be told if it's not the big C at least? I know that out of 10 people going for the same appointment 9 won't have cancer so that's reassuring, I think it's the waiting for answers is the worst.
thank you for reading!

  • Hey,

Im sorry to hear about how exhausted you are, I'm sending you so much love and positive thoughts

Thats so kind of you to say, I don't know if I'm in the right place at all so please tell me otherwise if needed. I had blood tests done a month ago and my inflammatory markers were high, white blood cell was high, liver function test low. Had a chest X-ray and they said that was clear, however I still have the lumps and have also developed one under my armpit now too. There's family history of cancer in my family so I think that's why the doctor referred me to haematology. I went on Tuesday and they did more blood tests and I'm awaiting a letter for a CT scan now as she felt the lumps and seemed concerned

The fatigue I'm feeling I've never felt this before and the itching is driving me crackers.
Thank you for taking time to read this and I hope you are doing ok. Appreciate the fact that you want to help others x
