Painful CT colonoscopy

I had a virtual colonoscopy yesterday and was advised it would be uncomfortable, however during the scan I was almost in tears from the pain. I've always thought I had quite a high pain threshold (I've had 2 babies with only gas and air), could there be any reasons for this procedure being extremely painful?

    My colonoscopy was uncomfortable and showed unexpected complex ovarian cysts maybe you have adhesions everything was stuck together from previous surgery and took 4 1/2 hours to remove. I had pain for years but it was never investigated just put down to irritable bowel! I had the usual keep taking the pills
