Hi everyone,
I have been struggling with neck lumps getting larger for the last few months. The doctor said lymph nodes in areas 4 & 5 (if that means anything to anyone, it's the right side of neck and above shoulder) are immobile and swollen. I have also had weight loss, night sweats, recurrent fever, pain swallowing and new hair loss (alopecia Areata). The consultant told me it could possibly be lymphoma so refered me for an urgent ultrasound and biopsy. When I went in for the ultrasound, the doctor said he wouldn't be doing a biopsy. Monday will be 2 weeks of not hearing back, I am sure it will be because it is hasn't shown anything. But I still have alot of anxiety especially as the lumps are getting bigger and the symptoms are not improving, I feel like if he had gone through with the biopsy I would have had more confidence it is all fine. My doctor initially gave me antibiotics before refering me to ENT, which didn't change anything and I haven't had any viruses recently so just wondered if anyone had a similar experience and ever got to the bottom of what it was? Many thanks
