Hi, I am going through. Similar journey, but without knowledge of family history. My FIT test was 48.2 after around 8 weeks of diarrhoea with odd bouts of constipation , due to medications my usual is to be constipated.

I am going through the two week protocol. And the consultant contacted me monday and I had a CT scan today due to fear of colonoscopies due to previous  traumatic  experiences, 

I have many symptoms of colorectal cancer, but no significant weight loss ( though I could have done with that and them kept the other symptoms !) I am 44 and have rather complex health issues, so I am quite convinced I am wasting the NHS times And money and that if anything it is generalised inflammation. I do though appreciate that they are taking it seriously Nd trying to help me. It's amazing how guilty I  feel about  taking up their time and money.

Does your consultant seem concerned 

I'm not sure to be honest, she seemed it to be fair but it was over the phone and I have quite complex health issues which I am convinced is the cause. I spoke to the consultant Monday and had the scan yesterday so they are definitely moving things along. I just feel guilty taking their time and money. thank you, you also.
