Just posting as suffer from health anxiety and am currently very worried I may have uterine sarcoma.
I had an MRI on a fibroid a year ago - it was 4.6cm, no susocisous signs. I recently ended up in hospital due to very heavy bleeding. I'm lucky enough to have private health care so had a follow up MRI ( in the hope of getting a new treatment). The fibroid has grown to 8 cm in a year!
I'm still waiting for the MRI report ( the consultant just measured the fibroid on the pictures). I could see he was a bit shocked though. I'm going for an LDH blood test tomorrow. Don't get the MRI report for another 48 hours.
The consultant himself said he wasn't overly worried as I'm 45. I made the mistake of googling though and am now genuinely terrified ( particularly reading how aggressive a uterine sarcoma and the survival rates).
Im a single parent and one of my children has SEN. I feel like I can't pull myself together and feel panicky and tearful all the time. Feel quite shaky and the wait which will be until next Monday seems unbearable.
