I rang the hospital today and they said they get results on a Thursday so I won't get my results until next week .They ring people on the Thursday evening to make apts .How old you when you first had breast cancer? I'm 52 and I'm on hrt .There's so many types of breast cancer that I had no idea existed. Thankyou for your messages ,it means alot that I've got someone to talk to .

Hi Bevdawn7 ,thankyou for your reply .where abouts was your lump ,mine feels like 2-3 cms long and 1cm wide it's just above the nipple area .it's not sore ,they took 3 biopsies from it and 2 from the arm pit .How long did it take for your results ? The not knowing is the worse bit .How long from your diagnosis  did your treatment start .? Hope your doing OK now xx

I got my results 10 days later  that was in 2008 the breast cancer was only 1.5cm but aggressive grade 3 wasn't in any nodes tho  I had surgery chemo  radiation none of any of the whole experience with it was as bad as I imagined at all it so I'm sure treatment is even better than it was .. take care xx

Thankyou for your reply .Had a letter today which was a copy of what the consultant sent to my gp.says there is a 35mm mass in right breast and slightly enlarged node in armpit .Just hot to wait for my results ,hope your doing okay now .How was chemo and radiotherapy?  How long does it last for .x

Hi ... both the chemo and radiation was fine for me I had 6 rounds of chemo  and then 3 weeks every day of radiation which I had to travel hour and half to hospital for that  the radiation itself was nothing at all just has a slight red mark after don't  .. if I can do it anyone can xx

Had biopsy  results after 10 days ... surgery was 10 days after that  then waited 5 weeks for results and grades etc. Started chemo   week after that it lasted 6 sessions every 3 weeks then when that was finished  I started  radiation couple of weeks later ... this was 2008 tho so I think things are done differently in some people I know had chemo first then surgery so I'm not sure but in my experience none of it was  half as bad as I imagined in my head so try not to worry xx 

Thankyou Bevdawn7,what's the difference between the chemo and radiotherapy,? What did each one do ? How long did it take you to recover from the chemo/radiotherapy?  I've written a list of questions for when I go see the consultant. Did they cut all the lump out ? Do you have to go for follow up appointments to check the cancer hasn't removed .take care .
