Any blood from piles or a tear will give you a positive result.

It is good they are checking you out with your Mums history.

It's totally understandable that you are anxious because of your Mum.

Sounds like a good sign to me, can't hurt to get checked though with your Mums history.

Anxiety can cause all sorts of bowel stuff so having a few tests to put your mind at rest won't hurt.

I had bowel changes weight loss and left sided pain last year. The colonoscopy showed unexpected complex solid ovarian cysts, I was referred to gynaecology oncology When they were removed the biopsies were benign fortunately,

l am over 65 so it was a worry. I hope you have a similar outcome and all is well.
Do try to relax and keep busy as nothing will change the outcome of your situation. 
Your bleeding from your piles could well be the reason for your raised FIT levels.

Thank you so much for your reply. So glad you had a positive outcome. I had wondered if it might be a Overian cyst and have been referred for an ultrasound so waiting for that too, just on the usual pathway to wait for that though. 
 

I'm pretty convinced the blood was due to piles but guess it's better that they are checking it out. Though I'm really quite scared of canulas so not looking forward to that part.
