Despite the current worries and health concerns your husband is contending with at the moment, I do hope you were able to enjoy his birthday yesterday and that you both had a lovely day.

I'm not sure what day your husband is seeing his GP, but I just wanted to pass on my best wishes. I hope the GP is able to answer your questions and allay your fears but if either of you would like to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

Hopefully you will hear back from some of our members soon as well.

I can't really say to much about uti, but I've been living with prostate cancer over 6 years and never had uti, hoping others will reply. Never had trouble at night till started treatment, where my wife has regular journeys to toilet and gets uti with being incontinent. Don't know if this helps. Not everyone is same.

Thank's very much for your response. It just seems very strange that my husband had no urinary symptoms untill he had a uti a couple of weeks ago, he hasn't felt quite right since and yesterday he developed a fever so went to docs and it seems he has another infection, (or maybe the first one didn't clear up completely with the antibiotics) so on more antibiotics.

He has an appointment next week with the doc for prostate check so i guess we will no more then.
