Good evening 

Long story short last year. I got told a had swollen spleen but shouldn't worry as blood were normal but few month down the line notice a lump on the left side of neck. GP to me it was a lymph node and that i would have to get referred to a hematologist due to having a swollen spleen aswell. This sent me in total freak out mode as my grandad who had blood cancer was seen regularly by hematologists. So my husband got me seen privately. This was September last year i had a CT on my body and  Scan Ultrasound on my neck and loads of bloods done. They found nothing. I got no explanation for the swollen lymph or for why my spleen was swollen they told me not to worry. The lump in neck seem to go down  but not fully dissappear.

So fast forward this March i notice the lump was feeling bigger shortly after a notice it i started feeling very ill high temperature more lymph nodes in my neck and behind ear started to swell i was in a lot of pain with my jaw and neck headache. I rang 111 due to high temperature hitting 40 i go an appointment with doctors over phone told me he was 99% sure with out seeing me that had glandular fever.

It took weeks for me to feel better. Now we are in mid August and i still have that one swollen lymph nodes on left side of my neck and no explanation for swollen spleen. I have gone back to GP who has referred me to hematologist again but i have few other symptoms too night sweats and i thickly cough and tight chest only when i lie down.

Could they have missed something last year i am worried that i have what my grandad had hodgkin's disease and they might have been missed. No body seems give me any other explanation why i have swollen lymph nodes in neck and why my spleen is swollen. I have an appointment for hematologist on the 9th of September.

Anyone els ever had this and every was ok ?  Can it just be normal for these things to be natural swollen?
