Need to contact GP

I have lost 2 stone in weight these past months and just generally feeling so tired, everything is an affort.  Loss of appetite and when I do eat I get a pain in my right side like appendix pain but i have had that removed as a child so I know it's not that.

The past two weeks I have been the feeling of always needing the toilet but only have air and watery poos. Not able to sleep tonight as feeling sick and the need to go to the toilet but nothing happens pain on my right side of my stomach.

Will call GP as soon as they open for an appointment - does anyone else have these symptoms as convinced myself it's cancer.

  • I have had similar symptoms and I had a colonoscopy on the two week wait, they found ovarian cysts that l had no idea l had. My pain was on the left where the larger cyst  was wrapped in extensive adhesions  They have been removed and the biopsies were benign.
I hope you have a similar outcome fortunately not all problems are cancer.

l would take someone with you as we forget to ask  questions we should,  if you need to write them down before you go.
    take care

  • Dear Susie thank you for your response and glad your outcome was positive although still not nice to go through.  We are so lucky to have the NHS with the two week rule so at least it's not too much of a wait.

Someone else has said the same I should share with someone for support, I just don't want to worry my family for hopefully nothing, but will reconsider. I hope you are fully recovered xxx

  • Dear Jann

l am now fully recovered it's taken a while due to the extensive adhesions, l hope you are feeling ok, the waiting and wondering before an appointment are the worst as once you have been seen you know what's happening. And what's to be done or you can relax as all is fine. I hope it all goes well
