I had a similar operation overian cysts and Fallopian tubes removed recently they took multiple biopsies.  There were loads of adhesions I had my results from my consultant at my follow up appointment. I didn't need HRT. Maybe they are waiting for your follow up, also to allow your wounds to heal.

Hi there, Im awaiting mri next week for a large 10cm cyst, my doctor has already said the ovaries will need to be removed whatever the outcome. How long did you have to wait for the surgery? I just want them out as I cannot bare the thought of this growing. Im 55 years old and didnt even know it was there!

Hi, I found out that I had the cysts on the 19th May this year. My surgery was the 12th August. I had a meeting with the consultant on the 20th May and she said surgery would be around the end of July. This was delayed due to covid at the hospital. I got a call on Monday last to advise I got a cancellation so was lucky. It is a very stressful time and the few months felt like a lifetime. I am recovering now from surgery and get my results in 4 weeks. I hope you don't have to wait too long, my advice is to keep calling your doctor's secretary especially if you have symptoms. Its the waiting thats the worst, I have no symptoms except a slightly bloated tummy, Im hoping it will be nice and flat when this is removed I also have a smaller cyst on the left ovary, hard to believe they are there and I was obliviousx

Hi,

I first stated getting a swollen sore tummy in April and went to A&E they thought I had diverticulitis a condition of the bowel. The CT scan was ordered just confirm I was also surprised to find out that I had a large cyst in the left ovary and multiples on the right. My pain was on the left more so that made sense.  The worry started then as to wether or not it could be cancer. I am 49, 50 in September and had not gone through the menopause. After the surgery I now have so look forward to getting some hormone treatment.
