I can't give much advice as I am in England, but even over here the 2WW isn't straightforward, I had to wait two and a half weeks to have a lump ultrasound from initial GP visit (who only saw me after initial phone appointment), the ultrasound confirmed a tumour with strong blood supply, and now I'm just waiting again for GP to confirm it looks malignant (as implicated by sonographer) and wait for more tests, then wait for more results. So although it's called a 2WW, the reality of that is probably very similar to the wait times where you are.

Everybody here seems to agree that the waiting is the worst bit. Heck, thats why I'm awake at 3.30, the thoughts are big and scary and it seems like there's very little to be done. Try to keep yourself busy if you can, and don't spend too much time on Dr Google, you'll scare yourself silly. I also put a lot of my symptoms down to having small children, being tired, dizzy because I don't drink enough, bruise easily because I work with small children and consistently bump into little tables and chairs... Don't blame yourself, just focus on the steps you are able to take now. Big hugs and I hope you get the answers you need really soon xx

Hi Laura, thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear about what you're going through but thank you for clearing up how the 2WW works. I guess I'm just frustrated they won't do any checks any sooner.

I hope you are all OK. I am in a similar boat. My Bloods do show infection markers but not massively high, I have an enlarged gland in my neck, a lump on my arm and I found a lump in my breast, all in the right side, when examining me the doc also noticed another pea sized lump in my breast. 

I have an appointment on Thursday at the breast clinic, an appointment on the following Tuesday at ENT for the throat and awaiting the appointment for my arm, which may take 4 weeks. Although she wasn't really concerned with my arm.

Although trying to put it out of mind i can't stop worrying internally. So naturally sleep is out the question. I've told my husband but have played it down massively and don't want to worry anyone else. 

The wait is so hard isn't it!

Good luck for Tuesday I hope all goes well. No I wouldn't take receptionists word but hope she is right with them being all clear.

Telephone appointments are so hard arent they. My bloods have been back showing infection markers for months but she just kept saying wait 3 months and re take and a couple of times she gave me antibiotics. It's only me mentioning family history of thyroid she asked me to go in to actually feel my neck where all this came from. I do feel with something like this they should see you face to face rather on the phone!

ah that's really rubbish! I've been lucky that my GP are seeing me and have done throughout covid but sometimes they do things over the phone first. Do hope everything goes ok for you xx

Doctor said my bloods are reassuring and that when I've been seen prior the doctors weren't worried, but has agreed to re-examine me on Friday due to new lumps. Finding it all really frustrating .
