Hi everyone,
I've just been to the Dr with a mole which has recently changed. The Dr decided it looked suspicious and has put in a referral for me to have it removed. It doesn't sound like there will be anything else involved in terms of tests etc., just the removal.
I've come home and read a little online (never a good idea, i know) I read something about lymph nodes and I've just remembered that I had a tender lump, which I thought was a swollen lymph node, last week. This appeared for about a day, and then disappeared again. I have just recently miscarried and have been a bit run down so I put it down to that and thought nothing else of it. The Dr also mentioned that changes in moles can occur sometimes due to hormones in pregnancy.
I'm now wondering whether I should be concerned about the swollen lymph node? Should I make another appointment with the Dr to tell him this even though it is now gone, and the mole is being removed?
Also, is it normal to just have it removed without testing first? I don't know what to be thinking about this. I obviously won't know if it's melanoma or not? Therefore won't know if there's a chance of it having spread or coming back in the future, or am I just overthinking?
Thank you in advance for any advice, I'm a bit clueless.
