I was referred at the end of June and my appointment was booked for 13th July (Glasgow) but got cancelled by telephone the day before. My new appointment is for next week the 3rd August. Person I spoke to said they are really busy at the moment but still trying where they can to meet 2/4 week timescale. You sound really calm and I'm sure it's a cyst as you say.

I'm really stressed out right now and convinced I'm not going to get good news this time around. Trying to keep occupied but it's hard.

Hi thanks for responding I really appreciate it. Jeepers that's a long wait you've had it's only natural to worry especially when you've geared yourself up for the appointment to then have it cancelled last minute I think my emotions would be all over the place

I'm also in the NHS Grampian area waiting to be seen at a Breast Clinic. My referral was made last week and I've just found out it'll be an 8 week wait. I'm a little shocked as I have a lump plus breat pain. I phoned the clinic about a potential appoinment date in order that I can arrange child care and she explained to me that there are three lists: 3 weeks/8 weeks/12 weeks. 

I feel quite concerned about the wait.

Hi, oh no I'm not liking the sound of this potential wait! Did you get a letter through asking you to call them to make the appointment?

I'm sure the Dr said something about urgent and non urgent referrals, she said she'd put me down as urgent referral and that always goes down as suspected cancer but not to panic at that. Wonder if that relates to the different waiting lists

She did also say that pain is a good sign as it's unusual for cancerous lumps to be painful.
