Referred to breast specialist

Hi, I've had pain in my left breast for a few months. No lumps. At first the pain was intermittent, but it's there all of the time. I saw my GP on Friday and she said that my breast had a lot of prominent blue veins leading to my nipple and it looked different to my right nipple. Just wondered if anyone has had these symptoms and what the outcome was. Thank you

    Hi Pauline, how are you today? I hope you slept better last night? Had the mammogram today. The woman who did it was not very nice, but it wasn't too bad. She told me I would get the results when I see the consultant on Saturday. I did ask if they would do anything else on Saturday as I was going alone and worried in case I couldn't drive back. (I was fishing really to see if she had seen anything on the scan) She just said they may do a biopsy but would probably just be a consultation so I'm hoping that means she's didn't see anything!! I really hope you've had a better day today ️

    Hi Carol, I had full examination and they found a suspicious area in my upper breast so had an ultrasound thereafter. Thankfully it looks like multiple cysts again and some fat necrosis in upper area. 
    I am so relieved but they have referred me back to GP to review some of my medications and they reminded me to self check each month and straight back to GP if any concerns. 
    I am still in pain though but at least now I understand why that area is painful when I lie on it after seeing the scan today. 
    It's a shame you didn't have a one stop clinic appointment today. I thought that would have been the set up for you too? What a shame you found the mammographies grumpy....why do people behave like that? Really angers me as we are stressed enough!

    Oh Pauline prayers answered. I'm so relieved for you. It sounds very painful though. I bet you don't know how to feel!! I kind of got the impression she didn't see anything suspicious. I came back and pretended to feel ill so I could go to bed out of the way of my kids. I just don't really want to talk. I felt very nervous this morning so goodness knows how I'll be on Saturday. So happy for you Pauline and thank you for letting me know ️

    Oh Carol. I really hope all goes well for you but I have a feeling in my bones it will be ok ️
    I understand why you just want to hide away. It is a horrid time for us. I will still be praying for you and please please let me know how it goes. 
    Also here for you if you just want to sound off. Even although I've had the all clear I still won't abandon this chat. Having been through what I have in the last few months I think it's important that people waiting for tests etc are supported by others. X
