Hysteroscopy - anyone had this & can share their experience?

I had a recent CT which is showing something at bottom of my uterus. Consultant wanted to see me within 2 weeks and I have appointment next Thursday. The letter today said it's likely I'll need a hysteroscopy on the day. I'm nervous. Can anyone tell me what it's like to have that procedure done please?

    I had hysteroscopy today and a polyp removed (Doctor thinks that it looks ok) The pain was like a bad period pain.I had googled and read some horror stories but it wasn't that bad.I took pain killers and hour before which may have helped.I have some bleeding and cramps now but not too bad x
