Here I am again, bothering you all with questions, whilst waiting, waiting and waiting some more for final diagnosis on Lenny the lump, who was removed 1st April. (April fools day - bit ironic). It doesn't seem as straight forward as I would have hoped, apparently after 4 weeks sitting in the local path lab my sample has been moved elsewhere, not sure if it's a 1st or 2nd opinion, if it's a 2nd opinion, I guess it's not a straight forward diagnosis. If it's a first opinion, then why wait so long! I asked a friend who had a melanoma removed this year in the same local hospital, he said he had his results in 8 weeks, but he was told it was a melanoma before it was removed. My lump is a lump of unknown lumpiness (was a buttock lump - so not standard to start with). The admin at my local hospital is keeping an eye open for when the results do finally appear (she's a star) So whilst I carry on trying to distract myself thinkng what the beep is going on - has anyone taken weeks to get their final diagnosis?
