Are they missing my cancer? Please help!

Hello all!

im a 35 year old man, and 3 or months ago I developed a thing where I was urinating constantly. I finish, and literally have to go again minutes after. I’m up and down  like 10 times before I go to sleep. Also, feel very very tired and lethargic all of the time.

ive had 4 urine tests over the course of 8 weeks and they all showed blood. They obviously did blood tests as well, test all of my organs, and all but 2 areas apparently came back normal, they weren’t clear on explaining which ones though.

i saw a doctor yesterday, who went through the tests, I’m not entirely happy with my appointment and would like opinions please.

he effectively said that it unusual for a 35yo to get cancer! And all he kept going on about was STIs! I told him that this was impossible. Because I’ve been with my partner for 9 years, and was was tested before the relationship. And i know for a fact we are both loyal. But he didn’t let off.

so I have to have a test before I see the urologist, which is fine because I know it’ll come back negative

but im worried that while they are wasting time with this, they are missing something which has been growing  now for far too long.

Ive read on this very website that bladder/ prostate cancer is always detected from blood tests.

Can anybody shed light please??

Thank you in advance

  • So the good news is, 35 is so icnredibly young for either bladder or prostate cancer, in fact, they're so uncommon, that almost NO prostate cases at all are diagnose in those under 40! Bladder cancer is a tiny tiny tiny bit more likely, but only 14 cases in the 35-39 age group, which I believe there are upwards of 3.5 million 35-39 year olds! So 14 out of that, I'd say that's some good chances! However, definitely get more tests, and put your mind at ease, it could be something as simple as a UTI, some UTI's can alter your bladder for quite some time, it may take a while to go back to normal, but please, keep us updated and I wish you all the best!

  • Hi,

    thank you for your reply!

Those are very good odds in my favour! I forgot to say that they have established that there no infection of any kind.

Hopefully I’ll get some answers soon, and will let you know what happens

    thank you again

  • I really hope you get some good news, I'm sure it will be and you can eventually put your mind at rest that it's something less sinister causing the problems!
