I'm sorry to hear about the rollercoaster that you find yourself on at the moment. It's understandable that you're feeling worried about what may be going on with this complex cyst, the upcoming surgery, and why the team wants to arrange further tests. 

We know that often Consultants request further tests and that this can cause anxiety and worry to the patient whilst they're waiting. It's important that the team has all the information they need so that they can be sure that whatever treatment they recommend is in your best interests. 

Whilst you're waiting for these next steps I wonder if you might find it helpful to chat things through with one of our team of nurses? My complex ovarian cysts were removed last year . I had the scans ect pre operation and they were fine, my oncology surgeon was lovely and listed me even though I had been told by the registrar that they would not operate you don't know who to believe. My surgery was difficult due to extensive adhesions due to previous surgery and took 4 1/2 hours most of the surgeons would have bailed out and left them in situ  lm glad l had her . It did mean 5 days in hospital and took a while to get back to normal. 
The multiple biopsies were fortunately benign, l hope you have a similar outcome.

I worked for the NHS for 30 years and they are now good with cancer care better than anything else like orthopaedics, max fax it tends to be hips ect that are waiting so very long. I would consider private for orthopaedics they tend to be more. predictable and fixed price 9 thousand for ankle op 15 for a knee, although my friend is in NHS hospital at the moment having had a knee on Friday, now not expecting to come home for another week.
