I can understand this must be confusing and concerning if you don't have all the information about things at the moment.

I can't advise on what the appointments are for - I can only suggest you try again giving his doctor a call, or the department noted on the letter. You can also ask any questions and discuss next steps at the first appointment in early May.

If hes had a rectal exam I cannot think of anything else apart from biopsy, he could be a bit tender afterwards, might be good idea for someone to drive him home because of tenderness.

Ps been there done that got the tee shirt and the sore bum .

Got confirmation it's a biopsy I presume it's the next course of tests for him and I will be taking him he's wondering if he should tell work he won't be in for a couple of days afterwards 

Most people are ok afterwards might be a little blood so maybe a pad if he's moving around alot with work,I went back next day metal fabrication and welding lifting plts and plenty of moving around and was fine.

i had twelve samples,6 each side others have had over 40 ,ouch .

Small ladies pads should be fine,if any blood I used the wife's, but didn't need to, just incase.
