Awaiting breast clinic appointment. Anyone else?

Hi, iv been referred for a one stop breast clinic appointment after a ct  scan showed i have 3cm growth on my left breast. I had no idea it was there i  am currently waiting for someone to ring me with an appointment. Which is taking a lifetime.

Iv been reading some posts on here and everyone I so lovely supportive of each other, i really dont want to worry my family anymore than i already have, with my fears etc. I was wondering if anyone here is going through the same thing or is currently on their wait and would like to chat.

    Hi Maci9,

That's good to hear. Sometimes it's good to be wrong - and this is definitely one of those occasions!  I hope that you're feeling more comfortable now, as well as being mightily relieved.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi

Got My breast clinic appointment for next Thursday.  Have to say I'm so anxious as consultant told me that he thinks the new found 3cm lump in my breast is the cause of my elevated ca125 level. Which according to Google would only be elevated in breast cancer that is at an advanced stage

Do any of  you have any knowledge of ca125 elevation that isn't to do with ovarian as I'm cleared for gynae related issues xx

    Hi Minnie,

I am delighted to hear that you have got your appointment at last. I am sorry that I don't know anything about ca125 levels, but I sincerely hope that your consultant is wrong about this link. Until you get some tests done, it is impossible to predict your outcome. Try not to worry until you know if or that you have something to worry about (impossible, I know!). You could phone one of the nurses on this site for more information on your CA125 levels. They are here MOn-Fri from 9.00am-5.00pm. Their number is 0808 800 4040.

If your consultand decides to carry out a biopsy, you may have to wait a further 1-2 weeks to get a definite diagnosis.

Here's hoping that all goes well for you on Thursday. Please let us know how you get on and, remember that we are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
