Hi,
I recently had a blood test, where my full blood count came back abnormal as well as my b12. My full blood count showed high haemoglobin (167 g/L) high total white cell count (119 10*9/L) high Haematocrit (0.49 L/L) high red blood cell count (5.45 10*12/L) high Lymphocyte (4.0 10*9/L), my b12 is high (1045 ng/L). My GP called me and queried Polcythemia, my GP carried out a advice and guidance to Haematology who just advise that is the haematocrit was above 0.48 then to refer. My GP has referred me routinely to the haematology department, but also said to me they was looking a myeloproliferative disorder Polcythemia - (I googled I shouldn't of i know) Im Scared now. Has anyone else had this? or can advise me in any way of what will happen at the Haematologist first appointment?
