hopefully you are calming down after the procedure and not in too much discomfort.
I have had 3 polyps removed 2018/2019/16thfeb 2022 all by hysteroscopy with a local in the cervix
the second 2 were in the womb and they took lining samples at the same time, the first was actually appearing outside the womb ( popping out from the os the hole in your cervix to your womb on the 3-4 days prior to my period every month and then disappearing back inside ... i hiding polyp LOL ) 
The last 2 times I have been told my womb lining is extremely thickened but the biopsies and polyp taken in 2019 came back totally non cancerous. I am currently waitinf for the pathology on the 18mm polyp removed last week and the scrapings etc. 
I asked my gyny whilst he was actually doing it, how big can they remove this way, obviously the hysteroscope is only 5mm I think so I was worried that he wouldnt beable to get it out. ( the first was hanging out 10mm and the second although inside was about the same size) so this one was almost double. 
He seemed to be more worried about if it was sessile ( on a stalk thats easy to just snip off) or pedunculated ( flat and broad based attached to the uterine wall and has to be scooped off like when you ball out a scoop of ice cream) 
Mine was pedunculated so had to be scooped which he said lots of women cant put up with as to pain levels, but seeing as I seem to be basically dead fromt he waist down in that department he was able to get all mine and get it out the tube of the hysteroscpoe.
if it helps polyps are very very rarely tested as being cancerous, they are one of the biggest causes of heavy periods AND bleeding between periods ( in the last months having been putting off going again because of covid etc I have got to the stage where I have had a mini 4 day period from day 12-16 every month) If you have thickening of the lining as well as polyps their is a risk of that developing in cancer over a long time un treated. If its been there a long time already, also the stages at which it progresses is well known for being slow growing. 
Even if you have cancer cells or pre cancerous cells there are loads of options ( for me I would have a hysterectomy as Im 54 ) 
I am hoping you will get your op under general very quickly mainly to stop the worry and please barein mind its about a 2 week wait for the results of pathology. x Its scarey, I know, and in the worst place to have to be fiddled about with, and be scared, I know. :( 
 Im sure you will be fine but make sure you insist on regular check ups once you get your results smear tests arent good enough you need a vaginal scan every year to check for more polyps and how your womb lining is working. Dont be fobbed off, the percentages are very tiny for uterine cancer about 1.3% of womb lining biopsies are cancerous and only 0.3% of polyps but you need to keep yourself checked just in case. Thankyou so much for the reassurance my mind is just everywhere just all the confusion with small to big can't see it ??? I am bleeding every 2 weeks and seems to be getting more painful each time I just feel at the moment with both consultants saying urgent and today's asked to speak to nurse on her own that there is more going on but I'm hoping it's just my mind on overtime think I'd built myself for this today as only had my scan results 3 days ago gone through the hysteroscopy that I was coping with not to bad I thought anyway just feel totally worn out with it all x

try not to worry, I know thats like telling you to try not to breathe, but honestly getting stressed will be probably make you more ill than what you are actually going to be treated for.
Try to remember they have a duty of care to anyhting that can potentially be cancer, so they will go for ott to cover they have done everything. 
My first polyp I could feel my GP visually saw during a vaginal exam ( because i went on one of the days I knew it wouldnt be'hiding') but when i got to the hopsital appointment because it was a 'hiding' day I basically got told I didnt know what i was talking about and my GP was lying about seeing it. And then when I complained they keep throwing the word CANCER at me at every oppourtunity to make back down and be 'the victim' 
There could be loads of reasons for not removing it could have been at an angle, deep imbedded and they didnt want to try or they want you to be asleep so they can get better samples as they know it can be painful etc. 
Im sure if it was something they werent expecting they would be talking about MRI's etc to look at everything down there before they cut anything out. 
Most of the time the problem is the waiting time and you just cant think of anything else, and yes thats exhausting. If you are NHS I urge you to keep on top of the process though and if you havent received your date by the 2 weeks ring and shout, I know they are busy and behind etc but make sure they keep to the deadline etc. 

Just the endless bleeding is enough to cope with, its depressing, tiring, makes everything a bit delicate keep having to use sanitary products constantly and if your anyhting like me up 6 times a night changing and not wanting to get blood everywhere. 
But the good news is not for much longer, it seems like ages but in a few weeks whatever is happening and why will be sorted and you can get on again.

Im waiting for my results next week, if the lining is pre cancerous ( atypical hyperplasia) they will probably advise a hysterectomy because of my age etc and not needing my womb anymore. If its just what they call simple hyperplasia which is just basically womb lining cells gone mental ( hence the heavy periods etc) they will probably just do what they did last time, either offer me some progesterone to try and balance stuff or a coil sometimes helps or if i dont want to do anything advise me to keep having it checked at least every 2 yrs to checks it hasnt turned cancerous ( which some do over a period of decades sometimes and after menopause) 
Im hoping once all my ladies plumbing has finally ground to a much anticipated hault it will all go back to normal and im thinking thats the ethos of my gyny until such a time anything comes back thats needing us to take action now. 
The main thing i can pass on is Ive had polyps on and off since i find the 'hiding' one in the spring of 2017 I waited 6 months before even going to my gp with it ... im still fine ... Im still having to go and be subjected to the dreaded stirrups but no cancer as yet x you'll be fine

yes Im fine how are you doing are you still waiting for a time to go in for the general?

I waited the 2 weeks from mine on the 16th and it seemed like ages, Im lucky in that I have private healthcare so things move at a much faster pace and under my control.
My Gyny rung me exactly 2 weeks after the biopsies in the evening.
My polyp this time was 18mm and non cancerous, and the womb lining was also 18.4 mm on the original trans vag scan ( they consider anything over 20mm to be highly likely to be malignant) was also totally normal. He laughed and told me I just have far too many hormones for a woman of my age. Nothing is slowing down or looking like stopping in fact its gone into hyper drive. But its all perfectly normal cells. He''s advised me to have some progesterone treatment ( he wants the coil I dont) to try and encourage a thinner womb lining and hence less bleeding and hopefully no mini period in the middle of the cycle and I have 2 months to see how i feel and go back to discuss. Already I have notice my first period after the polyp removal was alot less and shorter so Ill see how the next couple go before i go back, and in the meantime I have ordered some progesterone cream, its not as strong as the pill or coil but more natural and Id rather go with that route personally if it helps.  I also ( so far) have not had any bleeding mid cycle, but that is due round about now so fingers crossed.
As I said cancerous polyps are very rare and also uterine lining changes are something that take quite a lot of time to become super dangerous. So please dont worry.

yes 2nd of April for my General I'm kind of a little calmer 

than i was a few weeks ago think it's the fact each bleed the pain is getting worse cycle all over place and just want it sorting also noticed my backaches with it hopefully on the homeward stretch of everything being ok
