58 yrs old history of gyny issues over the last 5 yrs everytime threatening the 'b C' but always negative.
After trying to manage my mothers end of life / death remotely ( she lived in kent me in norfolk , she had frontal lobe dementia since 2014) last October I noticed a neck gland not going back down after an ear infection
My mother finally passed away 6 days before xmas and then i had the chaos of dealing with selling her house her funeral and sorting her estate all by distance.
Finally in May I decided due to tiredness and an increase in my pain levels I already have fibromyalgia I tried to get a gp appointment
5 weeks later I basically got told not to go 'with a list' so the back pain/ hot flushes/ electric shock feelings in my hands and legs / constant skin itching until i made myself bleed scratching all were not even mentioned at my 10 mins appointment as I asked about the lump in my neck
13 days later an appointment /camera down the nose /ultra sound and 4 biopsies, 8 days later a phone call to go in , 4 days later told the gland has tested positive for p16 positive and another camera down the nose, 4 days later sent for a pet scan as they cant see anything on the nose camera on my throat tonsils saliva glands
Its 10 months since I first noticed the lumpy gland, its never increased in size, turned lumpy, hurt, just swollen like when you're a bit run down and your glands come up
Its under the jaw ( submandular ) on the left hand side
waiting for PET scan results and see where the primary is lurking if they can find it ( as of 10th aug 2025)
