Ovarian cancer

Hi everyone..

i have a 15cm mass on my ovary. I'm in so much pain, and have most OC symptoms.
my ca125 came back elevated.
I had a MRI, but they still don't know.
I've convinced myself I have ovarian cancer.
I spend hours googling (I know I shouldn't but I can't help it :( )
I am so terrified I'm struggling to even function day to day. I am 29 and have a little girl who needs me.
I can't stand this living in limbo, waiting and waiting, going over and over in my head what the doctors have said to me, picking apart their answers to all my questions.
I can't eat or sleep from the worry.
I just don't know what to do anymore...

  • Hi

Time between tests and results, and living in limbo awaiting diagnosis is the worst!

I distract myself by doing small things that help me to relax, from reading a chapter of my book to having a bubble bath or taking a gentle walk.  Be kind to yourself and (although it's so hard and we all do it!) try not to spend too much time googling as it will just lead to more anxiety, without really giving you any definitive answers.

Your young age hopefully puts you at much lower risk of your symptoms being dye to OC. I've learned (from all my googling) that there are a variety of non-cancer reasons why your CA-125 may be elevated. Not everyone with elevated CA-125 has OC and it seems many women with OC do not have elevated CA-125!

I do hope you get some answers soon though, and appropriate treatment to relieve your symptoms - being in constant pain is horrible and even harder if you have children to care for! X
