I have been suffering with abdominal and bowel issues for almost a year now and have just been given a date for a colonoscopy in 2 weeks time. I had a flexible sigmoidoscopy in November and found it unbearable. I used gas and air but the procedure had to be stopped as I was in so much pain and I couldn't stop crying. I'm really nervous about the colonoscopy. I will be having sedation but I've heard you can still feel it even under sedation, has anyone experienced this?
How have you found the colonoscopy?
I'm really scared.
