Breast Clinic Appt Tomorrow

Hi all

Finally, after finding my breast lump almost 5 weeks ago, my breast clinic appointment is almost here. I'm so nervous on so many levels & it feels like an eternity since I discovered my lump.

My appointment isn't until 3:40pm so I'm really worried that it's going to be a quick in & out with more of a wait for further tests should they be needed. To those who have recently had their breast clinic appointments, was it a one stop shop thing or did you have to go back for ultrasounds, mammograms or biopsies? I'm due to have major surgery 5 weeks today for a non-related issue & I just really hope tomorrow is it.

Good luck & best wishes to everyone waiting & going for their appointments xx

  • I am so pleased to report that there was nothing of concern from my consultation, manogram and ultrasound. The area I can feel is likely glandular tissue. That is most likely because of my age (41) breasts changes begin around 40 and also because of my recent weightloss of 3.5stone making it more obvious) The pain remains a mystery but could have been a ruptured cyst although she didn't think so because that usually shows on an ultrasound. The pink swollen area I had for a couple of a days as well could have been a hair follicle? Which was just a coincidence but all good news anyway. I'm hoping my pain will disappear when my period starts.

Wishing everyone the best with their appointments and if I can help in anyway please ask xx
