Hello Sueu32 and a warm welcome to our forum!
It's reassuring that the doctor found no abnormalities or lumps and it's good that they were thorough and you were referred to have a mammogram. Try not to read anything into the fact that things moved so quickly and you received the letter the next day. The fact that you received an appointment for an emergency mammogram doesn't necessarily mean that they suspect it is anything serious - you will only know what you are dealing with once you have received the results from the mammogram.
Even though you might be feeling a bit worried about the speed at which things are moving, it's good that they are dealing with it so quickly and efficiently and you're not having to wait too long to be seen.
I am keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out to be fine!
Best wishes,

Hi Sue,
A very warm welcome to our forum.
I agree with our moderator, Lucie. It is reassuring to know that your GP didn't notice anything untoward, but has played safe by arranging a mammogram for you. If I were in your shoes, I would feel happier knowiing that my GP was being cautious. Hopefully all will turn out well. How long do you have to wait for your mammogram?
Please let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
