Indeterminate breast calcifications

Hi, has anyone else had this issue?  I went into breast clinic with another lump (I've had numerous fluid filled cysts over the last four years).  That was all fine but they flagged up calcifications on the other side.  I was really shocked.  I've got a biopsy next week and I'm in that horrible inbetween place of not knowing and worrying.  Is this likely to be DCIS?  Thanks x

  • Wow that's quite a list! Fair play though you are certainly not gonna lie down and take any **** from the big bad C. Such a strong woman!

Because they did get clear margins which is obviously great my next surgery is purely to fill the gap left by the tissue removed last time. There wasn't enough excess tissue in my breast so using a flap from my back! Not expecting miracles but hopefully a bit more symmetry cos totally lopsided at the moment haha.

They also upgraded by DCIS from intermediate to high grade after pathology so may then be having radiation. Will wait and see!!!

Let us know how the MRI goes and stay positive!!!

    Hugs xx

  • Crikey, a back flap! The things they can do!! Well hopefully you will be less lopsided soon :))

I've literally just been ccd into a letter from my oncologist to my GP and he wrote 'clinically there has been an excellent response  as I can no longer feel the tumour'  feels good to read that!!

    Onwards and upwards!!

    Big hugs back xx
