I took the kids to the cinema on Saturday, and then had my sons 4th birthday party on Sunday. So I've managed to keep quite well distracted!! 
 

The breast clinic just called, and they've moved my results appointment to 9:40 on Thursday, instead of 11:40. So at least I don't have to worry all morning. It will be school run, then appointment!! Praying for benign results!! Xxx

Can't sleep!! Never been a great sleeper but this is another level! Mind is whirring. Any tips for weighing down my eyelids??!

So sorry you couldn't sleep. A whirring mind is awful. I've had a prescription of sleeping tablets from my GP for if I cannot sleep. I also had some valium from a while back and if I have a bad headache, I take cocodomol which has codeine and all of those things help to chill me if I need them. What I have found to be the MOST helpful though, is meditating twice or three times a day. That and taking an epsom salts bath daily as that is a great stress reliever also. Sorry I was not awake in order to message you back and help you. Deep breaths are key and reminding yourself that thoughts are only thoughts and aren't necessarily true. How are you now? 

I had my pet ct scan today. It was absolutely fine. xxx

I have had sleeping tablets before but will definitely try some more holistic approaches. I actually fell asleep very shortly after typing that post haha.

Yep always best to stick with holistic rather than reach for the sleeping tablets, but just knowing I've got them in my weaponry should I need them always helps

Yep cannot believe how calm I was having my scan. Nurse was utterly wonderful and got my cannula in in record time. I listened to a meditation whilst waiting for the injection to circulate my body and felt 100% relaxed whilst the scan happened. They even gave me a CD of the scan itself, which is nuts. I won't be watching that anytime soon...! Xx

Hell yes - a bit of zopicline in the bedside table is always a winner!

Oh no! What a pain! I'm just heading in now for my results. I feel sick.

It's benign! I'm so relieved. I've been advised to have yearly mammograms because of my mother's breast cancer, but other than that I've been discharged. 
 

I'm thinking of all you ladies who are embarking on treatment, and those still awaiting results. You've all got this!!

If you're all ok with it, I'd like to stay in touch with you all on this thread throughout your journeys. I will be keeping you all in my prayers.

I was popping back on the thread tonight just to see how everyone is doing and ask a question and I saw your post.  So thrilled for you, the relief must be immense.  Wonderful news. x

When is your MRI? I hope that you can feel positive about your plan going forward, and also gain that same sense of relief when you are out the other side of this!

Thanks Linze.  MRI hasn't been mentioned and is not part of my treatment plan ....  yet!  I have lumpectomy next Friday (11th).  Back and forwards to appointments putting magseeds in and radioactive marker the day before surgery not to mention Covid tests and isolating. It will be quite a week!

I'm still very worried that my post op biopsies will show its worse as can so often happen.  They keep saying this is so tiny and so early but they can't really say for sure can they until after surgery and all results and staging is in, so it feels like empty reassurance!

I've just been reading up on oncotype testing and want it done afterwards.  They send a sample to America to genetic test risk for later spread and whether chemo will be beneficial even for early cancers.   No-one in clinic has mentioned it yet but it's my next question!    What a journey this is.
