Hi I was just scrolling through and came by your post, ironically I have literally just gone through this process last year, I was stupidly three years late for my smear ( I'm 28) and got symptoms much like you, some vagina bleeding, lower abdominal pain and some shooting pains in my cervix area, I was diagnosed with HPV and high grade dyscariosis, obviously meaning the pre cancerous cells were quite advanced. Luckily though it was caught before it got to a worse stage and I was booked in within a week to have the LLETS procedure which is the removal of the cells with a laser, I now have to go for smears every six months, I found the hardest part about it all was the emotional side as a woman, but please try not to worry low grade can be treated  very easily, I know it's a bit of a scare but please try not to stress yourself out it's amazing what can be done x

God ,it’s good I came across this post it’s almost identical to my situation, so if they have found active pre cancerous cells, will they just laser them all off and keep checking?so it’s definitely not going to turn into cancer?im just so worried like I just wonder if it’s just more worth getting a hysterectomy….im 38 and that was my first smear test.i can’t believe i left it so late in life, i always thought id prefer not to know,how stupid was I!!

Well I hope when they check they get it all don’t know how bad or far gone it is . Iv been really stupid as well not had smear test in 16 years you just think it won’t happen to me , iv spoken to my nurse cause I was getting so worked up like everyone does does I went on google bad mistake I told the nurse I think it’s worse than they saying but she’s assured me not to worry 90% of women get this with a positive outcome , it’s just waiting now I want it to be done and over .
