Cancer after complete hysterectomy

Just need some advice as I feel I am hitting my head against a brick wall at gp.   Got hysterectomy n ovaries removed in 2014....endometriosis non cancerous tumours n thickening of tubes.  And I am currently on hrt . For abt last year and half  iv been getting what can only be decribed as period pains/pain on right side going into hip area/ r leg pain/ back pain.   Doctors keep giving me pain killers.   I have eventually been referred to gyn n been waiting 6mths for laparoscopy but due to covid I know I could wait longer.  A fortnight ago i had a bright red bleed and the worst back pain ever and went to gp who are trying to help get this pushed forward.  My mum passed away with mantel cell cancer just over 2yrs ago n my aunt lung n breast cancer 2yrs ago.  So this has me worrying.   Any advise would be helpful.....sorry if this isnt related to this group

  • Hi,

Do not want to frigthen you but want to let you know my case:

I told my GP I had irregular bleeding for more than a year. The GP said she would refer me to see a specialist n to have a scan. I waited for 6 months but no appiontment made....long story. I at last went to see a doc in a private hospital and confirmed having stage 2 endomterial cancer.

So my suggestion is not to wait. See a private doctor if possible.

    Best wishes,

  • Meant to ask if your pain was on going or days without?

  • Hi Scuff2896,

I did not have much pain, just some dull minor pain on n off. On most days, I felt nothing unusual. That was why me and gp thought it was nothing. It was the irregular bleeding on n off that alerted me. Actually in the four months before I was diagnosed I had no bleeding and no pain. But it turned out stage 2 EC.

Hope things are OK with you.
