Do not want to frigthen you but want to let you know my case:

I told my GP I had irregular bleeding for more than a year. The GP said she would refer me to see a specialist n to have a scan. I waited for 6 months but no appiontment made....long story. I at last went to see a doc in a private hospital and confirmed having stage 2 endomterial cancer. 

So my suggestion is not to wait. See a private doctor if possible.

Meant to ask if your pain was on going or days without?

I did not have much pain, just some dull minor pain on n off. On most days, I felt nothing unusual. That was why me and gp thought it was nothing. It was the irregular bleeding on n off that alerted me. Actually in the four months before I was diagnosed I had no bleeding and no pain. But it turned out stage 2 EC.

If they have you on the waiting list for laporoscopy ring the gynaecology secretary and ask them to expedite your surgery. I've just had gynaecology op that the secs were really helpful with. They contacted the surgeon for me who made sure l was listed. 
l hope you are able to get things moving as the waiting is the hardest part. If they can't help it's back to the GP  Take care lm hoping you are seen soon
