Please help, terrified of ovarian cancer

Hi everyone,

im new to the forum.I've been having symptoms on and off the last 6 weeks that point to ovarian cancer. Back pain, frequent UTIs that weren't lab confirmed, and for the last 3 weeks terrible indigestion and tummy problems to the extent I can't eat without abdominal pain. I have terrible gas and feel awful. My GP referred me for a scan which is happening tomorrow and I'm worried sick. I'm 44 with 2 children 11 and 8. I'm terrified. My gut feeling says this has to be OC and with the symptoms it must be late stages. How do you cope with waiting? I'm having panic attacks, nightmares, can't sleep. I can't even eat. I'm losing weight through anxiety. I don't know if I can go back to work. I know I'm not diagnosed yet but I know this is it. I'm a mess and it could be weeks before I get answers. Please help.
Thanks for listening.

  • Hiya, not sure if I can help, but lst thing to do is breathe, don’t let your mind run away till you have all your tests.

i have endometrial cancer or had before hysterectomy, a lot of my symptoms pre results you have, but my best friend who was having all the same symptoms did not have cancer. My mind run away from me as urs is doing, panic anxiety and stress fear all rolled into one. But you need to wait till all ur tests are done, and your results are in, could be something could be nothing, but try not to make yourself ill in the process of waiting. I know this is easy to say I’ve been where you are, xxx
