Ah I'm sorry you're anxious...I'm a few weeks behind you in terms of finding out what's up. 

I had my core biopsies taken 2 days ago after my lump was found to not be a cyst. I've also been told it's most likely to be a fibroadenoma but it doesn't settle the nerves much does it !? 

I was also told that the doctor would call if everything was OK and have me in for an apt if there was anything more to follow up on so I understand how you must be feeling. On a positive note though, they may just want to explain a few things about the fibroadenoma, or give you the option to have it removed ?? Did they put a clip / marker in when they took the biopsy ? Perhaps they plan on marking it. 

The next week will hopefully go nice and quickly for us both with plenty of distractions over christmas and we'll eventually be able to settle our nerves.

No deffo does not settle the nerves - although I am feeling slightly better today that I now have a date for the appt and I can forget about the phone ringing or waiting for the post every day!!

No I don't think they put a clip / marker in - they didn't mention that so I guess not?

Yes I am concentrating on trying to enjoy Christmas now and drinking lots of alcohol!!
