Hi All,
I had a Mole removed 3 weeks ago. The consultant who saw me originally said before removal it was definitely skin cancer. I was surprised they could tell just by looking under the dermatoscope. When I went a week after to have the biopsy the consultant was lovely and put my mind at rest and said 'I would be really surprised if it's anything other than a Basal Cell Carcinoma and I'm predicting that when I get the results I will just be sending you a letter saying it's a BCC and no further treatment required.' However, I called the secretary today as I had heard nothing and she said a letter had been posted today asking me to attend an appt in a weeks time to discuss my results. Should I be concerned that it's not what the consultant had predicted (eg a simple letter) or is this just the normal procedure?
