Hi everyone,
never thought I would be here but here I am. I am 46 with 2 kids 15(gcse year) and 11(high school transition year)
I have yearly mammograms as high risk family history, my last mammogram end of August came back abnormal, rechecked found a suspicious area, had a biopsy, last week called back to tell me it's cancer invasive dcis yesterday called back to tell me it's triple negative. So plan so far is mri, blood test for genetics, surgery, chemo, radiotherapy.
its a lot to take in, we had to tell the kids last night and it was just the worst thing. It feels like such a long road to travel.
