Welcome to the club we all wish we didn't need,  but glad it's here ...

I had a grade three oestrogen positive, her 2 neg breast cancer in 2017 ( snap)  i was lucky no lymph nodes infected ...  had a total right masectomy... they tested lump ... sent to america university ... which was weird as id first felt lump on holiday there ... came back, low risk of spread .. so didnt need chemo .. and refused radio because ive got arthritic bones ... 

Put on tamoxifen ... managed a year before my life was not worth the risk, as couldn't get out of bed much .. and lots of pain ... so came off ... don't know how but still here ... everyday is a bonus and my scar tells me how far I've come ... so pretty proud of it really ..

So hang on in there ... grade 3 isn't always bad ... there are lots of us going on after breast cancer, we just hear the sad stories on the news .. it's not easy but it is doable... a rollercoaster emotional ride... but hang on tight , wer all there with you ... and know it's o.k to have down days ... we all do ... 

But then pick your self up, put a pink pair of vertual boxing gloves on... and you thump that cancer right back .... your stronger then you think ... Chrissie x

Diagnosed similar to you. ER positive, her2 negative. Had lumpectomy nearly 4 weeks ago. Margins not clear so have op number 2 in a couple of weeks. Was originally told I would have radiotherapy and hormone drugs but had 2 cancers removed, 1 at grade 2, the other at grade 3. 6 lymph nodes removed, 1 cancerous. 

I'm just wondering if they are not suggesting chemo until margins are clear...

What was your outcome (hope you don't mind me asking)

Sorry to meet you here and I hope your recover quickly. 

not sure if I can help but I am 38 and was diagnosed in October. Stage 1, 20mm, Her- Er positive, Grade 3 with high grade DCIS.

my Tumor was a grade 2 at biopsy but increased to Grade 3 after it was removed, I had a lumpectomy and also went back 2 weeks later too clear the Margin. I had three nodes removed which were clear.

I was originally told that I would just have radiotherapy' and Tamoxifen when it was a Grade 2 but due too it increasing to a Grade 3 I was told that I would need Chemo. My surgeon couldn't say and I was only given that news when I saw oncology after my surgery, your Surgeon will refer you too oncology. 

I am having FEC-T over 12 weeks, every 3 weeks, im on number 4. I am using the Cold Cap aswel.

I may not of  helped at all but I just want too say that, I hope your get clear Margins I am sure you will it's very common apparently to go in more than once. Also that Chemo sounds worse than it is and if you ever want any advice or reassurance let me know. 
 

The side effects Generally only last a week after Your Treatment and can be managed.

If I need chemo, then so be it. I'll deal with it. It's the not knowing that is driving me nuts. 

How soon after your 2nd surgery did you see an oncologist?

I've been told I'll be called back to see surgeon 2 weeks after 2nd surgery - guessing (if margins are clear) she'll then refer me to oncology...

Hope you symptoms of chemo aren't too bad. Sounds like your coping with it really well. I'll look into cold caps if and when I need to.

Hi I’ve just been diagnosed with the same type of cancer… 

the waiting around of not knowing wether needing chemo is the thing I’m struggling with most.. 

im also 33 and just keep getting told your young and they might throw everything at you finding it so hard to prepare myself… 

im having lumpectomy next week..
